La Pilarica Lodge is a family-run lodge in Villa Lago Rivadavia, Chubut, Argentina. This page explains what we do with your information when you use our website or contact us. We keep it short because our approach is simple: we only ask for what we need to answer you and plan your stay, and we do not sell it to anyone.
When you fill in a form on this site, we receive the information you type: your name, email address, phone number, country, the dates you are interested in, the number of people travelling, and your message. We also collect basic technical information automatically as you browse: the pages you visit, roughly how long you stay, the site or ad that brought you here, and general device and browser data. This is standard for any website and is not linked to your name.
We use your contact details to reply to your enquiry, plan your trip, and send you the information you asked for. If you sign up to our newsletter, we use your email to send occasional news about the lodge, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We use the technical information to understand which parts of the site are useful and which are confusing, so we can improve them.
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Google Ads, plus Microsoft Clarity and PostHog, to understand how visitors use the site. These services set cookies and use similar technologies. Microsoft Clarity and PostHog reconstruct anonymous playbacks of browsing sessions: mouse movement, clicks and scrolling on our pages. This is not a video and it captures nothing outside our website. Anything you type into a form field is masked before it leaves your browser, so these services never receive your name, email or phone number. If you prefer not to be included, you can block these services with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We use a small number of providers to run the lodge: EspoCRM to keep track of enquiries, Resend to deliver email, Vercel to host the site, and the analytics services listed above. They only process your data so that we can provide our service.
We keep enquiries and booking correspondence for as long as we have a working relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we may need it for accounting or legal reasons. Analytics data expires on the providers' own schedules, typically within a year or two.
You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email us and we will take care of it. In Argentina, the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública oversees compliance with Law 25.326 on personal data protection and handles complaints from anyone who believes their rights have not been respected.
